LISTENING

Coreano, Niño, Dispositivo, Tableta

Presenting a listening test created with a podcast and a presentation tool like Genially can be done by following these steps:

  1. I explain my objective: I start by explaining to the students that they are going to take a listening comprehension test to assess their understanding of an audio recording. Emphasise the importance of listening skills and how they contribute to overall language proficiency.
  2.  I describe the format: I describe the material we are going to use for this: I briefly describe the format of the test and how it will be administered. It will consist of listening to a podcast and answering questions based on the content. The test will be accompanied by a Genially presentation that will provide additional visual cues and support.
  3. If they are unfamiliar with Genially: Take a few minutes to introduce them to the basic guidelines.
  4. We include time limits, the number of questions and how answers should be recorded.
  5. We clarify any doubts to make sure everyone is in agreement before starting the test.
  6. Once this is done, we give access to the Genially presentation and tell them to start.

By following these steps you will be able to effectively present the reading comprehension test created with Genially to your students, making sure they understand the format, the instructions and the steps to follow.

  1. Good morning Ana!
Thank you very much for sharing this attractive blog full of activities created from the magnificent Genially tool. I am a fan of this application because of the large number of templates that it offers us to be able to prepare material for our students.
I want to congratulate you on this post, since, on many occasions, the listening skill is tedious for students because they do not understand exactly the material that is offered to them. Also, I congratulate you because with this genially template, it will be more attractive to them and more motivating.
On the other hand, in relation to the appearance of your blog, I really like the range of colors you have chosen, as well as the large print and images.
Very good APA references for each resource and I hope you can put it into practice in your class, I'm sure your students will love it!
    Have a good day!
    King regards, Andrea.

  4. Hello Ana!

First of all I wanted to congratulate you on your blog. Visually it is very attractive, clear and easy to navigate, and on top of that it has a section in which the objectives are mentioned, which is very useful for us to know what we can expect to find if we keep browsing the blog.

As Gema Mata Navarrete has commented, the listenings are sometimes demotivating for our students, as they are sometimes not used to receiving so much input in English and find it a bit difficult to understand the audios. However, through the interactive activity that you have created with Genially they can become familiar with the sound of a native speaker while practising vocabulary, thus it is a very good idea!

Thanks again for your contributions, I found them very interesting!

    Best regards, Sara.
